“The Royal Project Foundation” and “CP AXTRA” Join Forces to Deliver Fresh, Safe Produce from Highlands to City Tables
Bangkok, 19 November 2024 – CP AXTRA Public Company Limited, an operator of Asia’s leading wholesaler and retailer, Makro and Lotus’s, has partnered with the Royal Project Foundation to launch the "Royal Project: Quality Produce from Le Tor to CP AXTRA" fair. Available nationwide through Lotus’s and Makro stores, this fair brings premium products from highland hands to city tables, enriching the lives of hill communities while promoting the health of city dwellers. Sourcing more products from the Le Tor Royal Project Development Center in Tak Province, the fair connects highland farmers with urban markets, offering safe, high-quality fruits and vegetables at affordable prices while supporting sustainable incomes for the farmers. Shoppers can visit the fair at Lotus’s Bangna and 55 additional locations in Bangkok, Pattaya, and Phuket, with Royal Project products also available at Lotus’s hypermarkets and Makro stores nationwide.
The “Royal Project: Quality Produce from Le Tor to CP AXTRA” fair at Lotus’s Bangna store was presided over by General Kampanat Ruddit, Privy Councillor and Chairman of the Royal Project Foundation Executive Board. The Foundation’s goals align with the Royal Project Model, focusing on economic, social, and environmental development while empowering highland farmers to improve their living conditions and earn sustainable income through the cultivation of vegetables and fruits. It also promotes hemp cultivation for crafting handicrafts from hemp fibers. This initiative underscores the shared mission of the Royal Project and CP AXTRA to empower community farmers to thrive sustainably.
Mrs. Siriporn Dechsingha, Chief Corporate Communication Officer, CP AXTRA Public Company Limited, stated, "For over 30 years, our collaboration with the Royal Project Foundation has upheld our commitment to delivering high-quality, safe, and standardized products from upstream production directly to consumers. Through this partnership, we source produce from highland farmers within the Foundation's network, promoting health and well-being for all while ensuring access to fresh, top-quality fruits and vegetables at affordable prices.”
"CP AXTRA operates sustainably, prioritizing care for stakeholders across the value chain, including society, communities, and the environment,". "By consistently sourcing produce from farmers and expanding distribution channels for quality Royal Project products through Makro and Lotus's stores nationwide, we enhance the quality of life for highland farmers while ensuring a stable income. This commitment aligns with our mission to follow sustainable development principles and create a positive impact on Thai society,” concluded Ms. Siriporn.
