Siam Makro Plc (MAKRO) clarified published report in Siam Post Newspaper dated November 2, 1996 saying that Veerawat Chotichetpong, Phatra Thanakit Plc (PHATRA)'s managing director and as MAKRO's financial advisor and capital increased shares underwriter, said that MAKRO's 1996 sales was about Bt32,000 million with net profit about Bt751 million. MAKRO elucidated that those figures about its sales and net profit were only estimated from the 1996 financial statements which has filed to the SEC in the initial process of approving the company's prospectus.
