GIVES MORE DETAILS ON ALLOCATION OF UNALLOTED NEW SHAR

Siam Makro Plc. (MAKRO) reported on more details on allocation of unalloted 19,825,700 capital increased shares, previously resolved at extraordinary shareholders' meeting no. 1/1996. MAKRO said it has reported on the resolutions made on August 14, 1996 at the extraordinary shareholders' meeting no. 1/1996, concerning alloting a total of 19,825,700 new shares. According to the resolutions, 4,137,700 shares will be alloted to Makro Holding N. V. while 15,688,000 shares will be offered to general public. Later, MAKRO announced the offering price of Bt102 apice for the new shares, as reported on November 1, 1996. For this, MAKRO has already obtained an approval from its shareholders at the extraordinary meeting no. 1/1996, held on August 15, 1996. The resolution for this capital increase was made in accordance with the Public Company Act B.E. 2535.
